This 2 1/2 inch lead free reduced pressure zone backflow preventer assembly prevents the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage and or backpressure. It consists of an epoxy coated cast iron body, body with stainless steel trim, and bronze test cocks There are no shutoff valves. It features the patented air-in/water-out principle for protection during emergency combined backsiphonage and backpressure conditions. It is ideal for health hazard cross-connections or for containment at the service line entrance. The coating on this backflow assembly uses ArmorTek(R), a patented 3-part advanced epoxy coating system designed to limit both microbial induced (MIC) and exposed metal substrate corrosion. The maximum working pressure is 175 psi (12.06 bar).
