This 5/8 inch OD, 1/2 inch ID, durable, yellow coated corrosion resistant stainless steel gas connector is configured with 1/2 inch MIP x 3/4 inch MIP x 1/2 inch MIP SuprSense EFV adapters and is 48 inches in length. This CSA approved SafetyShield(R) gas connector features a premium antimicrobial coating to inhibit bacteria growth, improve corrosion and UV protection, and enhance flame and smoke resistance. The connector is commonly used for the installation of home appliances such as gas dryers. SmartSense used with Dormont(R) coated gas connectors provides an industry leading 3 levels of protection. The 5/8 inch OD flare x 1/2 inch MIP SmartSense EFV and thermal shutoff is an intricately-designed valve comprised of two primary components, a gas flow-limiting plunger and thermal shutoff sensing ring. In the event of a gas line rupture, disconnection, or even a fire, SmartSense detects the potential threat and automatically activates to ensure your safety.
